Guest guest
Swamiji speaks on the recitation of the Chandi- Kiilakam verse 4 " You can't take a pill to become free from attachments. You have got to do the sadhana. It is something that each one of us has to do by ourselves through repeated application, sadhana. Verse 4 means that in order to attain this state of indifference you have to practice. This is the sadhana of the Chandi. Asan. Pranayama. Chanting the mantras. Breathing according to the syllables of the verses. The entire sadhana of bringing the Goddess into our lives is the way we accomplish the objective of attaining indifference to each and every object of existence. The indifference is not the kind of indifference that says," I don't care about it." It is the indifference that says, "I am not attached to it. I am the witness of the changes. If I say, "Don't change then I am going to feel pain because change is HER nature. Change she will and change she must because that is HER Nature. Guest guest
Being free of attachments is a constant striving so this post on what Swamiji said really hit the target for me. Repeated application is so simple and so hard. It takes work to do simple things well. Thank you, Karen [] , "parv108" <parv108 wrote: > > Swamiji speaks on the recitation of the Chandi- Kiilakam verse 4 > > " You can't take a pill to become free from attachments.
