Guest guest
Vs 56 of the G. Gita says: "By the attainment of whose compassion great ignorance is renounced; therefore we bow to the respected Guru who accomplishes all objectives." Chap 3 : vs 39-40 of the B. Gita "The wisdom of the wise is hidden by these eternal enemies in the form of selfish desires which are insatiable like fire, oh Son of Who Takes Away the Deficiency of Others (Arjuna). The senses, mind and intellect are said to be their residence. Through these, the Wearer of the Body becomes deluded and Wisdom becomes hidden." Desire and anger, which arise from Nature's quality of passion are insatiable. Swamiji reminded us two nights ago about Raktabija, who was awarded the boon "that whenever a drop of his blood (passion – for something) would touch the ground, in that very same place a new Raktabija would be born of the same vitality, courage and strength to captivate the mind." Also, here is what Swamiji says of desire in the Introduction to the Chandi: "We see a new desire take birth with every perception; helplessly watch it grow until it becomes an obsession regulating our every action . As one possessed, we see morality and convention, even common sense, yield to the ethics of convenience, in which we rationalize any behaviour which brings success." Beloved Guruji can take us across that ocean to Divine Mother, who alone has the capacity to digest all desire. Jai Guru
