Guest guest
Dear Bruce, I dont have the Hanuman book on hand with me right now and so am not able to tell you the exact page numbers. If Parvati or Srini are reading this post, can you please help point the right pages. Yes, you can use the mantras described for homa in the Hanuman Puja book for any of the deities. The mantras given in this book are for starting the homa and ending the homa. The deities that you want to worship will determine the mantras that you want to chant in between. If you are unable to do homa, what can you do instead to compensate for this fact - I will ask Swamiji and post. Thanks for your questions. Guest guest
Jai Ma I had followed this post because I was also interested in learning more about how to perform havan. This post also inspired me to buy the Hanuman Puja book. I do not have the Advanced Shiva Puja. I could use some help on where to go from here. From Swamiji's online class it seems that the fire starts on page 152, right after bowing to the nine planets. I am somewhat guessing here, and this is where I could use some help, that you continue, as Swamiji does in the lesson, up to just before the purnahuti on page 166. At this point you would add any other prayer you wanted. Then you would conclude with the purnahuti, pages 166 - 169, and end before starting the Hanuman Arati. Does that sound correct or should there be more at the start and end? Please, any suggestions would be appreciated.
