One point I should have mentioned is that serial commas for lists are

standard in the book for which this sentence is meant.

 

E.g.

 

"We see in your description of activities, songs about rasalasa and

kunja-bhanga, dana-lila, rüpa-abhisara, vasaka-sajja, utkantha, vipralabdha,

khandita, rasodgara, rupanuraga, abhisara and milana, nitya-raga, alasa,

jagarana, and svadhina-bhartrka."

 

Note the comma before the final "and".
