Even if rudra filled with anger and tamo guna experience a change while hearing the divine names of the lord by chance what to say about those who directly get his darshan? (kAmanudal koNda tavaththArkku) Rudra burnt the body of kama deva who induced the love in rudra towards parvathi (siva's wife). It is natural for anyone to have a special feeling towards their wife but here rudra spent his hard earned power through long time penance to burn someone who helped him to develop a special feeling towards his wife. (vudal koNda tavaththArkku) Rudra used his power obtained through penance to kill someone. Even such a hard hearted person changes while hearing the divine names of the lord. (vumai vuNarththa) Listening to the greatness of lord, as told by parvathi. Once parvathi questioned rudra in deep penance, about the lord towards whom rudra was meditating? She then proceeded to talk the greatness of the supreme lord by herself just as a matter of fact. Impressed by parvathi's talk, rudra asked her to continue to say more about the lord's greatness and the divinity of his names. Rudra even forgot the usual shisyAcharya kramam (Teacher-Disciple relationship) and got immersed in the speech of parvati. (vaNdalambum thAralangal neeNmudiyAn tan pEyarE kEttirundhu) The bees' ringer around the honey filled tulasi garland adorned by the lord wearing the prodigious crown. While listening and cherishing the greatness of the divine names of that very lord; "sudar mudimElum punaindha taNNanthuzhAyudai ammAn" [thiruvai 1-9-7] (neeNmudiyAn) "AdhirAjyam adhikam buvanAnAmeesa thE bhisunayan kila moulee:" [Oh!
