Could someone please tell me if I should no longer wear them? I am wearing Pukhraj (Yellow Topaz) in my left index finger, set in gold. I think this is for Jupiter. Also, on my right ring finger, I am wearing Cats Eye stone - i was told this is for stomach. I don't have any problem as such but probably not very good digestion system, its in the family. But I believe Cats Eye stone is for Ketu - isn't that a malefic and if so, why would someone want to strengthen a malefic??? I also wear a diamond ring on my left middle finger but the stone doesn't touch my finger, i have worn it since maybe 1999 or 2000. My birth details are: Dec 25, 1979 10.47 AM Roorkee, India. First of all, Ketu is malefic and I would remove the catseye immediately, especially since the Nodal axis is very closely afflicting your Lagna (1st/7th house axis). The gem for Ketu will only amplify its power for sudden negative events. The other stones are fine for you. Best Regards. Additionally, you may want to propitiate Ketu by charityto help offset some of Ketu's affliction in your chart. This is extremely safe as propitiation is one of the best ways to handle malefics. Anyhow, you may donate your catseye gem if you wish to a young man in poverty on a Thursday, as one means. Or, donate colored blankets, brown clothing etc. Maha upayas, are serving parents and needy persons for men and serving parents-in-law for women. Once in while, fast on the first Thursday after the New Moon. There are also mantras you can recite during Ketu periods and sub periods.
