Guest guest
Dear Yaduraja Prabhu, PAMHO. AGTSP! Just some corrections and final remarks: You understand that by "to be allowed" Srila Prabhupada meant "permitted" in the sense of "not forbidden". But that is not the only meaning. Another meaning is "to be empowered", as he wrote in his letter to Kirtanananda. But since it does not fit in your theory, you ignore that. You misunderstood Srila Prabhupada's words because you did not follow his instruction that we must always compare the words of the guru with sadhu and sastra. It is actually very simple: Srila Prabhupada empowered his disciples to initiate their own disciples but told them not to do that in his presence because of the etiquette. (This is confirmed by Srila Prabhupada in his conversation on July 18, 1971). I have never conceded you original point a). Please don't lie. I agreed only after the claim that in 1966 Srila Prabhupada wanted to be the sole diksa guru for ISKCON for its entire duration was removed. I am not asking to prove a negative. I am asking to follow Srila Prabhupada's instruction which supersedes everything you might have heard about logic. If you think that Srila Prabhupada is asking you to prove a negative, then that is your problem. The contradiction that you saw in my statements regarding Srila Prabhupada's letter to Hamsadute is based on the unproven assumption that in 1968 Srila Prabhupada expected to be still present in 1975. (You similarly said that I assume that he did not expect that.) Your theory is mainly based on what Srila Prabhupada did not say. Sorry, but Srila Prabhupada taught us to back up our statements by what guru, sadhu and sastra said, not by what they did not say. Dropping out of the debate is the only way for you not to have to explicitely concede defeat. ys Ramakanta dasa
