Guest guest
Dear prabhus, Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Srila Prabhupada! This is an open letter to Subhag Maharaja. Whoever has his e-mail address, please forward it to him. thank you: Dear Maharaja, Please accept my humble obeisances. all glories to Srila Prabhupada, whom you love so much. I am too much aggrieved to hear of your recent accident. Emotionally, it is tempting to react by saying, "why you"? You are such a gentle soul. By wisdom and shastra, however, we know that Krishna does not make any mistakes. I can only give myself solace by thinking that some how or other, this is what Krishna wanted to happen to you so that He can take you back to godhead in this lifetime, without fail, having left all residual behind forever. Remember the one atheistic non devotee who wrote the popular book, "why do bad things happen to good people"? Well, we are not as foolish or ignorant as that author, but still, I confess, it is hard to swallow. Yet not a blade of grass moves without the sanction of the Lord. This is unshakable shastric siddhanta. Destiny is very powerful, and the ways of the Lord are very mysterious. You have been sinless and completely dedicated to Srila Prabhupada for so many years, so it is not easy to assimilate the unfortunate happenings in your life. You are most certainly my dear most friend and one of my favorite God brothers. You always know what is right and what is wrong, and even though you already had your health limitations, when you preach, sometimes you roar like Narashingha guru, do to being empowered by Srila Prabhupada. You remind me of him very much, especially when you go into that amazing roaring mode! Of course, I do not speak Hindi, but I do not have to. I can "read" the vibrations and mood of what you are saying by your auspicious demeanor while preaching. I wish you the speediest recovery, and look forward to your ever increasing good health. The movement needs powerful soldiers like you. No one should be deceived by your sweet demeanor. You have a lot to share with all the devotees around the world, and we all need your association. AGTSP. When I spoke to Maharaja last night, he said that there was no need for anyone to come. There is one of Maharaja's disciples, Kanu Thakur Prabhu, in Brisbane, who is ready to come, but Maharaja said there is no need. I will speak to Maharaja again today and get back to you. Regarding how long it will take Maharaja to recuperate, I mentioned this in my last email. Sundaranandana said they want Maharaja to try walking exercises after 3 days, and that it would take 3 months for him to be fully fit. Sundanranandana said that they would take Maharaja to Bali as soon as he was fit to travel. I am asking our dear friend and devotee doctor Dr. Narain Punjabi to go and see Maharaja in the hospital today, to assess the situation. Gatot Subroto is one of the best hospitals in Indonesia, it is the central army hospital. However, honestly speaking, the standard of medical treatment is higher in India than it is in Indonesia. We would love to have Maharaja here in Indonesia for a long time, but you might have to consider whether it might not be better for Maharaja to return to India. That is all I can say for now. I will print out your email and give it to Maharaja today, then you can hear Maharaja's decision, perhaps by tonight. HTMYIGH.YS.
