Guest guest
That is so cool that we are talking about fasting because I just started one and am wondering if things are going how they are "supposed to." Here's my current experience. I've only done a one day - coconut juice - fast one time. This is the first time I'm trying a longer fast. I'm kapha-vata and was seriously debating whether or not I should be or needed to be doing this or not. I'm on the 4th day of the Master Cleanse (lemon juice/maple syrup/ cayenne pepper). 1st day of the fast, I was finishing ladies holiday rest. 2nd day of the fast, I had a full practice - extra sweating, needed a serious nap. 3rd day, moon day rest (heart beating fast going up stairs), lots of naps. 4th day, I almost had a full practice. It was definitely interesting to feel how my body moved through the poses differently. I am definitely weaker in some poses, stronger in others and can seriously look up in Dwi Pada. I have a lot more energy today though than I did the first 3 days. I'm not sure how long I can continue to do a full practice and still maintain the fast though. We'll see. It's supposed to go for 10 to 12 days, but maintaining energy for my practice is more important to me right now. Anybody else have thoughts to share? I know one friend passed out in a led class on the 10th day of this same cleanse! For sure, listen to your body! amanda
