Dear all,

 

Rearding accepting Prasadam on ekadasi day, the

following is given in Narada Pancharatra:

 

prasAdAnnam sadA grAhyam ekAdasyAm na nArada |

ramAdi-sarva-bhaktAnAm itareshAm ca kA kathA ||

 

"O Narada, one must always accept the remnants of food

offered to the Lord. However, on ekadasi one must not

accept them. Even Goddess Laksmi, and her peers

observe ekadasi. What, then, can be said of other

persons?"

 

Hence, one must not accept even Maha-prasada annam on

ekadasi day.If same is offered, one must keep it

safely and take it on the dvadasi day, first thing in

the morning.There is no contradiction. Contradiction

comes because we place more significane of the

maha-prasadam and less on ekadasi. But that is only

due to our lack of knowledge on the greatness of

ekadasi, its greatness even over Mahaprasadam.When we

sufficiently realise the glories and importance of

ekadasi, then we will follow ekadasi better.
