Guest guest
srI: srImathE rAmAnujAya namaha: srimath varavaramunayE namaha: Today (aani thirumoolam) is a very special day for all of us. It was on this day, more than 550 years ago, numbermal submitted the srisailesa thaniyan at the lotus feet Swami Manavala mamunigal. It is said that the divinity of this mantra is greater than that of even tirumantram. Also, he gave his Divya agnya that all Arulicheyals chanting is to begin with "Srisailesa dayapatram" and to end with "manavala mamuniye innum oru nootrandu irum". The way in which this thaniyan reverberated in all Divya desams (Including Badhirkashramam) at the same time on the same day is a divine miracle. This day is celebrated in a grand manner in Srirangam, tiruvahendrapuram etc. Also today they are offering Silver tholukku inian to Swami Mamunigal in tiruvahendrapuram. Emperumanar jeeyar of tirukkovalur is gracing the occasion. The Lord did not have best Acharyans in his vibhava avataras. It is said to satisfy his urge to have a great Acharya, The Lord chose mamunigal as his Acharyan. The Lord has given thaniyan only to one Acharya other than mamunigal (Ananthazhwan). Even today, The Lord (numberumal) celebrates the tiruvadyayanam of Mamunigal just like any disciple will celebrate his Acharyan's tiruvadyayanam. This anushtanam is well known all over the world ("ulagam pugazhum anushtanam!"). The Lord, with his Acharya bhakti, leads by example for all of us. adiyargal vaazha aranga nagar vaazha saadgopan thandamizh nool vaazha kadal soozhndha mannulagam vaazha manavala mamuniye innum oru nootrandu irum!
