Om Krishna Guru

Namaste All,

Today I have started reading the first KP reader. Also attempted to

cast the Birtch Chart per Page No : 62 with the following Birth

Details using JHora software.

The Birth Details given in the KP Reader I at Page No : 62 is:

Date of Birth : Mar 8th 1938

Time of Birth : 19:40 Hrs ( 7:40 PM )

Co-Ordinates : 11 N 39 , 78 E 12.

When I casted the chart using the above birth data in JHora software

using the KP Ayanamsa, I have found few discrepancies between the

longitudes mentioned in the book vs calculated by JHora. At the same

time, some of the Calculation are matching with the Book.

The descrepency I found , for example:-

1) As per Book : Lagna is 13 Deg 27, but per JHora I am getting 13

Deg 25.32 Min.

2) As per Book : Rahu is 07 Deg 47, This is matching with JHora

Calculation.

Also as per the Book Page 63, the period running at that time of the

marriage ( Nov 19th 1961 for this native) was :: Rahu-Budha-Guru-Rahu

But When I see this using the 360.25 days year definition, I am

getting

:: Rahu-Budha-Guru-Kuja

But when I changed the year definition to 360 Savana Years, then I am

getting the same as the Book, meaning Rahu-Budha-Guru-Rahu. So is

this definition is correct for me to continue using JHora Software?

Can some one, who is using Jhora for the KP purpose may please help

me to define the setting in JHora, so that the calculation and dasa

bhukti will match with the KP books, so that I can go forward in my

studies without any doubt in mind, whether I am making any mistakes.

I have already got the Raichur Ji's DOS based Software, but I do not

know how to use this software to find the Shookshma dasa for the

above given marriage date yet.

I am also in the process of purchasing the KPAstro Ver 2.5 from

India, but I may get that in few weeks as it has to be shipped to me

to USA from India.

So meanwhile, if some one can help me to get started with Jhora

setting changes in order to get correct KP charts and calculation,

that would be a great help.

Alternatively, please suggest a winsdows based software which

calculates as per the KP prescribed calculation and have the

capability to change the calculations on the fly like JHora.

I am willing to pay for this KP software too. Please suggest.

If I am asking a very basic and stupid question, which may be not

useful for the rest of the members, so may I request you to write to

me privatly with your reply, so that we do not bother other members

with this basic questions and also not to waste their time too.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Dear Raghunathi Ji

I have already informed you about this in the follow up of KP group message number 63089 that you cannot use JHORA for analysing the KP system.

We have to use KPAstro which give the exact degress and marriage dasa absolutely as you mentioned.

Dear RAGHUNATHI and Santhosh,

It is no harm that you are studding K.P system of astrology, but remember following tips which will help you in long run:

1.FOLLOW ONLY CITRA AYANAMSA.There can not be different ayanamsa's.

How can K P can have different ayanamsa?

2Jhora soft ware is applicable for astrology based on ARSH-VADIC principles

3KP astrology indicates construction of houses on Western method

4I personally feel that first of all you should master Vadic ancient principles and then try other systems.

Dear Raghunath Rao,Gopal Goel

If you want to study and master KP ststem, USE ONLY KPAYANAMSA, not Laheri. You can use Lahri for Classical Traditional astrology. Do not mix up sytems.

Dear All

I fully agree with that.Don't mix up both the systems.I have written the same in

last message in reply to the mail from PVR itself ,who stated the differences between the charts shown using JOHORA and other KP software.
