Guest guest
Right now while I am writing this, I am not trying to prove anything. This is my sincere effort to bring forward some events that I have faced during my consultations. As to me I am a practicing astrologer In India. The first lessons that are being taught in Vedic astrology are about Karma theory. They describe that why you need astrology at all when all things are predestined. Is it just a space filler for human curiosity or is it really helping somebody? I am presently referring to class of people who do not believe in astrology. One of my closest friend who is a diamond merchant has something to do with this. His father is a very rich person and they are enjoying all first class luxuries than an average Indian boy can only dream of. They are devout Jain's( a Community in India) and his father does not believes in astrology. Rather I should say that he does not like to consult an astrologer. Being a very close friend I know their family is very happy. They follow their prayers daily and often perform all the things and actions in right manners. His father is an honest person in his business deals and he earns through clean fair deals. One day my friend came running to me with his horoscope and with his heart pounding he told me that he is getting married. Interestingly he gave me the horoscope details for his to be wife. He wanted to know what will be the outcome. As a true friend I helped him and he went back happy. Not to mention that marriage took place and everything was all right. I wonder what difference my prediction made anyway. Just that he was happy. Then a second incident happened which tells us what astrology can do (and also what it cannot do). He came again, this time with his wife's horoscope. They were going to have a baby and I announced that it will be male child and that there will be serious health problems to the mother and baby. Even before he was born, we were told by the doctors that the embryo is suffering from a particular threatening condition of enlargement of the brain. The birth of this boy was very difficult and it took a very long surgical procedure. Now I told him everything before. I prayed for him daily and we (me and my wife) even performed some sacred rites for his child so that the delivery should be safe. The child is normal and happy. I cannot say what exactly happened over here. According to astrology something bad has to happen, and it did take place. But the final outcome was a winning thing. I cannot say what happened over here was outcome of what (His family's disbelief in astrology and belief in good karmas, or my prayers) but the results were good. Now what difference my prediction brought to him. I wonder if it can be anything than nothing. Another situation was of my own first child. While waiting in the operation theatre the surgeon asked me what would be my baby be like, a boy or a girl. My reply was clear and this amazed her. She said how I can be so sure. I replied that my skills are like her tests reports and I rely on them like she relies on her reports. Not to mention that a baby boy did took birth. Interestingly my kid got the same sign and same nakshatra as mine. He was born in Moola Gandanata (A particular bad placement of planets). I knew about it being an astrologer and I have heard of the consequences that it can produce. Immediately on the very day of his birth, my father met with an accident while coming down from a bus. I passed it as being another normal life incident (`because he was not injured). Then within an interval of seven days he met two minor and one major accident. He was saved but got some injuries. The coincidences were growing and I felt that I should use my knowledge. I scanned all the remedies for nakshatras and performed a sarpa Shanti Yajna at my home. Together with five pandits and my family members, it took four hours to get completed. I must mention over here that I painstakingly collected twenty seven different samples of water ( >From different temples ) and leaves as directed by Shastras. After the Yajna I observed the sudden disappearances of all the coincidences. All the problems stopped and there was no problem with my father. Now something happened over here. From regular dangerous coincidences to nothing. Something did changed when we offered our best donations to Sarpa God and enchanting the mantras for Ashlesha. Was it a change in the destiny or was it something else ? I cannot say. My million dollar question still stands. Is man more powerful than destiny? I leave the deductions for my esteemed readers. Guest guest
~ Om Namo Narayanaya ~ Hi, Even the remedies that we do or undertake are pre destined. Generally, one begins remedy due to Jupiter's Aspect or when Jupiter is in trines to mantra pada. You will see many people who are having problems, but they do not do any astrological remedy (mantra, yantra, gems, yajna etc.). Though they try to manage their lives in some other way. Say, if a person is not getting job, he may join some organization as a trainee (where he is doing the work but getting very low stipend or nothing). It is also a kind of remedy (serving the organization). Like if one has mars afflicted and he is serving in Gymnasium, or for saturn, if one is helping old people, that is also a remedy. Whatever Saatwic remedies we do, it is certainly going to do our good in future (The time may not be limited to this our this life only). Guest guest
JAYA JAGANNATHA! Dear AJ, Namaste. I wonder why is this a million dollar question? Who is going to pay it to whom? I will try to give some idease based on my knowledge. Karma is the law of God. So if there's anyone to fully know what is going to happen or to change it, the it is God. According to the shastras the onle way to dissolve the reaction for your past sinful activities is bhagavad-bhakti, or selfless devotional service to God. The rest of the processes like demigod-worship are only able to shift karmas so that one gets some results sooner or later, but cannot change the quality. This is because the demigods like Shiva, Ganesha, Durga etc. are also under the infulence of karma. Then the question is what is the use fo astrology? My answer is that it gives us opportunity to better prepare for what is there to come, make better decisions and learn to relate to our life events in a more costructive manner. Theres many more details to this, but I think every astrologer should understand and explain these basic principles to their clients.
