I have Mercury as Lord of my chart and am most often acutely challenged each Mercury Retrograde by the same sets of circumstances involving communication between people, hurt feelings, cell phone companies, computers. etc. I am sure you have heard all these GENERAL complaints before from others. This time, yes, there was a mistake in the 800 number phone bill and yes, we dropped the home telephone and it broke and even a cell phone just stopped working and was under warrenty and was replaced. But here is the DIFFERENT factor. With respect to 'misunderstandings" between people/ friends: I have noticed one major distinction. FEMALE friends have misunderstood me MUCH MORE than MALE friends ! In fact, the females have been 'over-reactive' about many, many issues. But when I consult with male friends, they are very steady and clear thinkng and reassuring that there is no misunderstanding. What I would like to know is, do you think this is a characteristic that is somewhat universal due to other transits at this time? Or should I assume this is just a condition specific to MY chart---possibly due to the Maha Shukra period with Mangal sub dasha? Now that I have become aware of the male/female differences to micommunication, I have even watched it prove consistantly true on any minor interactions --say with clerks in stores, etc. So, even people I don't know --the males can direct me to the right grocery aisle---the females misunderstand what I was looking for and seem flabberghasted! I only provide this for those who would find it of interest in study. It certainly is not a critical issue. Our world and the concerned individuals who send more seriouschart info here certainly would be a priority. I am just open to the analysis of any of you who are looking to see some subtle nuances in male/female experiences. The fact that some treat Mercury as female eunuch also might have something to do with this especially as it occupies the house of friends (11th) and is afflicted by Ketu. I understand now that it seems to be something that is particular to my own chart. Its actually interesting to me that in the past MOST of my communication confusion during Mercury Retrograde has been with males. This time, not only are they more 'steady' and reliable than the female friends-- they are actually generous and helpful. (I tested this out yesterday by seeing 2 associates who I had past Mercury Retrograde misunderstandings with--They both were extra considerate this time--perhaps more than usual!--In the past I remember bursting into tears in front of each of them for the frustration that came with a misperceived situation) I am sort of walking on eggshells with some of my dear female friends who I trust will remain my dear friends when the flavors of this period have passed! Perhaps the lesson of Jyotish is the same here as always: Contact with Being and infusion of Being is our greatest Kavach. I am practicing giving greater attention to the Unity that is within myself and others.
