Guest guest
Parankusanayaki in State of Distress kangulum pagalum kan thuyilariyaal kannanneer kaikalaal iraikkum, changuchakkarangalendrukai kooppum thaamaraikkan endru thalarum,…… chengayal paayneerth thiruvarangaththaay! ivathiRath thencheykin RaayE?' (TVM 7.2.1) The fishes living in kaveri are so big that every time they jump they hit the coconut (ilaneer) in the trees. Because of the force, the water in the coconut will fall into kaveri and add to the sweetness of her. Drinking this water, fishes get the bhOgam with more strength. The mother of Parankusanayaki pleads to Ranganathar saying that souls (jeevAtmAs) that are dependent on only nAram (acit, the kaveri water) live happily in Srirangam, but my daughter, who is completely immersed in thoughts on you (ayanam) is not able to get the bhOgam. She is not able to realize the day and night. She is always thinking about you. Whenever she tries to lift her hands to worship you, she ends up wiping her eyes. The mother continues further in the following pasuram… ittagaal itta kaikaLaay irukkum*ezundhulaay mayangum kai kooppum,* kattamE kaadhal! enRu moorchchikkum*katalvaNNaa! kadiyaikaaN ennum,* vattavaay nEmi valangaiyaa! ennum*vandhitaay enRenRE mayangum,* chittanE! chezunNeerth thiruvaraNGkaththaay!* ivaLthiRaththu en chindhiththaayE? (TVM 7.2.4) ittagaal itta kaikaLaay irukkum* ezundhulaay mayangum kai kooppum - My daughter is lying motionless (as if she is in coma state). The mother continues saying that her daughter is suffering severely by the separation from you, and hence requests what Ranganathar really thinks about her daughter. We will look at the both the nayaki’s and their love on a common Divya Desam Perumal before we conclude this series.
