I have not seen such a categorical statement in the ancient texts. having said that, Durga or for that matter any Puja is auspicious. Durga is devata of Rahu. 6th house indicates relatives especially the maternal ones. When Sagittarius is the 6th house Aquarius is the 8th house which is co-owned by Rahu per Parashara. *th bhava besides other things indicates what we bring from the past life. Chandrashekhar.
