Guest guest
ShriyainamaH Here is something that was such a beautiful interpretation as I was transliterating the Tanishlokam/ divyaprabandam of Periyavachan Pillai- that I am trying to share as best as I can! (which is not much!) Anjaneyan had come back with the good news that Shri Seetha was alive. Shri Raman looked for something to present him with for being the life saver of his entire Raghu dynasty - Not only was he, Lakshmana and Vaidehi saved- so was Bharatha, who will not live if something happened to any of them and Shatrughna. And many more who were living with the hope of seeing them again! Needless, to say, that Hanuman was the saviour of Raghuvamsham. Not finding an adequate present as a reward for this kainkaryam, He gave him an embrace (Aalinganam)! (All Acharayas and Vykhyanaparas have beautiful anubhavams about this experience of Thiruvadi) Oh! What an embrace that was! He embraced with his handsome form - Isn't this the form of the Lord that is loved by the Pirattis and isn't this the form that has all the beauty and splendour? Isn't this the form that gives boundless enjoyment to both Sheshi and the Sheshas at the same time? Isn't this the form that is always fit to behold (sadA darshana vishayam)? Isn't this embrace the reason that Hanuman is not able to give up his body - It is too precious because it is this body that received "The Embrace"! Isn't this why he decided to stay here and did not leave with Shri Rama to his Celestial Abode? esha sarvasavabhUtastu parishhvaN^go hanUmataH mayA kAlamimam praapya dattastasya mahAtmanaH The pasurams that are given are Periyathirumozhi 5-8-2 and Thiruvainozhi 4-1-5. There is much more, of course, but it is tough to venture into the beauty of Periyavachan Pillai.
