Guest guest
Possessing a copy of Mahanirvana Tantra by Arthur Avalon (Sir J. Woodroffe) sure is a good start! He served in Calcutta in the old Colonial Days, studied hard and observed much. What he engaged in, was the real stuff. This book is one of the most valuable treasures of Classical Tantra ever put to print by a Westerner. Hence its also now considered a sacred text, in a kinda western sense but the contents are definitely not fiction I think its out of print, no? , j <barbjs wrote: > > Don't really know the tantra, but do have a copy of Mahanirvana Tantra by John Woodroffe. > > Barbara > > > - > narasimhaye > > Thursday, July 20, 2006 2:48 AM > RBSC : Green stones & "Ji" > > > You're certainly going in the right direction, laying actions and > reactions at the holy feet of Ishvara. Guest guest
Dear Narasimhaye, I don't know whether it be out of print or not; I got it many years ago. The date of the publisher is 1971, and the publisher was Ganesh and Co. (Madras) Private Ltd., Madras-17, and it wsas distributed by the Vedanta Press, 1946 Vedanta Place, Hollywoood, Calif. 90068, if you should care to look up addresses and book companies on the Net.
