Guest guest
Speculation... I agree, as it could be mental illness or just plain drama queen antics. I once attended a satsang of another well known guru. During this one evening, I noticed what I thought was a hyper- active girl pacing back and forth during the bhajans, suddenly lying down on the ground for a few seconds, only to jump up again and pacing again, then lying down again, etc. When I looked, it was actually a very petite young woman who was very feverish and restless. The funny part was when the delirious woman went to sit down on the chair next to the altar (supposedly for the guru/deity) and all the women present, during a bhajan, yelled out a big "No!" in unison as if on cue. The young woman continued to pace a bit and lie down. I can only guess she was delirious with Shakti, as what I witnessed fits into Swami P's description of uncontrollable reactions to it. (In this case, the over-heating and restlessness). But it's all a guess. I mean, she didn't seem the type to be on drugs, or physically ill like people who have a brain infection which has similar symptoms. t Ammachi, "ammasiswari" <ammasiswari wrote: > > I have to say that I feel a little funny about how this "crazy lady" is being discussed and > speculated upon in such a public forum.
