The web site has been created by Sri Anil of Hyderabad ,

who is currently pursuing his Doctoral Studies in Bio Sciences

at Brisbane University , Australia .

 

Sri Anil is a very talented web designer and has used the latest

Web tools to assemble extensive information about ANDAL ,

while illustrating the extensive contributions of Sangeetha

VidvAmsini Srimathy Padma Veera Raghavan of Chennai.

 

This is a growing web site , since Sri Anil hopes to enrich it

further and further. Please visit it often for catching up on

the new content.

 

The 72 Mela Raaga Krithis composed by Smt. Padma VeerarAghavan

on Lord Oppiliappan are assembled here . The audio portion of 8 of

the 72 Mela Raaga Krithis are included by her . It is only fair to say

that very Few Musicians/Composers ( Mahaa VaidhyanAtha Iyer,

Kavi Kunjara Bhaarathy , Balamurali KrishNa , S.Rajam Iyer and a few

others have dared to create Krithis in all the 72 MeLa Raagams .

One has to be very sure of lakshaNam ( grammar ) of Carnatic

Music to attempt this daring acts. Through the grace of her Kula

Dhaivam ,Sri BhUmi Devi SamEtha Sri Oppiliappan , Smt Padma

Veera rAghavan has joined this select list of distinguished composers.
