Guest guest
It is a Narasimha Temple on top of the Hill. I contacted Sekar Bhattachariar who also looks after the Perumal Temple down below. He generally goes to the Narasimha Temple around 4-30 a.m and returns by 8-30 a.m. There is a Chowkidar who remains on top generally and opens the temple to the visitors coming later. He also returns by evening. If the Bhattachariar is informed well in advance, he will arrange for darshan, Abhishekam etc. His contact details are: V.Sekar Bhattachariar 17, Perumal Koil St Polur-606803 Tiruvannamalai Dist Mobile: 9842307594; 9443098358 He told us that the temple has around 840 steps and the steps are quite steep. Since we had planned to do Girivalam at Tiruvannamalai early in the morning, we gave up the idea of climbing the hill. We plan to do it later after informing the Bhattachariar well in advance. He prefers a group of people rather than small nos. We had, however, darshan at Avaniyapuram where they are having Bala Aalayam. With best wishes, Subramanian
