Guest guest
mATRamum ThArAdhOA vAsal thiRavAdhAr The fundamental policy of srEvaishNavic faith is chreishing the Lord alongwith fellow souls. 'Vedham vallArgaLaik koNDu viNNoAr perumAn ThriuppAdham paNindhu' declares svAmi Nam AzvAr. Those who have unfailing conviction that He is indeed the means and the end are those who are well versed in vEdham-s (vEdham vallArgaL) -EDu. Having said this, there are more reasons attributed for seeking like minded company, when entering into realm of EmperumAn's world. His auspciious qualities is akin to the full of deep watered oceans and likely to submerge us into it and alAs! denying the opprotunity to relish His such wonderful kalyANA guNas.. In fact, Sri ParAnkusA requests the Lord Himself, a mind of steel and steely resolve to overcome being melted on thinking of Sri KrshNA's sweet attributes.(piRandhulagam vun siRandha guNAthAl vurugum sElath thiRam thavirndhu) He appeals to sacred poets to save him so from sinking into the sea of EmperumAn's qualities (senjoR kavigAL vuyir kAth At seimin..) Sri ANDAL being naturally inclined towards EmperumAn ( being a feminine Herself) and also a descendant of this divine lineage of Azvar clan (anjukkudikkoRu sandhadhi) did follow this dictum meticulously but naturally. This was inborne and not imbibed. This GopikA convert from SrivilliputhUr yearned for Sri KrshNA is well known. Her thirty divine songs followed by the outpourings of nAchiyAr thirumozhi are indeed emotional sketches of real life manifested into eternal bliss of tamil prabhandham. The sixth pAsuram to the fifteenth sees Sri ANDAL knocking at the doors of SrevaishNavites and reminding them of their tryst with the Lord at Sri NandaGopA's divine palace. These disciples are symbolic of various types of followers of our great fatih. Knocking at doors, one expects response at the early hours of the dawn. Going farther, indicating the outbreak of dawn and support this with various evidences point to the patience at its height is in itself a test of endurance. That non-response as response, silence as reciprocation and passiveness as reply from one of the inmates prods ANDAL not to drop this disciple but plead for her attention. She ( the inmate ) who is enjoying Lord KrhsnA does not reply to their calls. No Sir, unlike me ,ANDAL does not go to the next door. She requests for Her voice at least.Cravign for her attention, kOdhai nAchiyAr requests: y MAdam! Your priorities are different. You are in sacred engagment. Agreed.. Need not open the doors for us. At least give your voice for us. You may give yourself to Sri KrshNA but is it unfair to bless us with Your voice? mATramum thArAdhOA vAsal thiRavAdhAr Such is the endurance and the extent to which a srEvaishNavite goes to get the divine company of another such like minded AtmA That is why it is again and again said kUdi irundhu kuLirndhEalOAr Em pAvAi rAmAnuja dAsan vanamamalai padmanabhan ..
