Guest guest
Dear Members of Naastrology group, About a couple of months ago, I requested members who travelled to foreign countries to provide me with their birth data and details of their first foreign trip. Purpose was to do research on foreign travel with the objective of idenfying one or more factors involved. I received about 8 responses. Since then I have collected a few more from friends etc. I am happy to report that I have been able to formulate a rule that is working with 100% of the charts that I have. It is working so well that with some further verification and refinements, we may be able to use it even for birth time rectification. This rule is simple and stated in clear and definite language with no ambiguities. Pratap's Rule for Foreign Travel: "If the VD (vimsottari dasa) at the time of foreign travel is MDL-ADL-PDL then each of these lords (MDL etc) shall be associated (placed in, aspecting by graha or rasi drishti or be the depositor of 12th lord) with the 12th lord (from Lagna) or the houses owned by 12th lord in rasi chart." Notes: 1. A foreign travel is possible but may not definitely happen if VD at a particular time satisfies this rule. I have a feeling that planets in transit must have a role in triggering the event of foreign travel. I am planning to analyze the role of the transit planets. 2. I am using charts prepared using Tarun's Ayanamsa (TA). This fact adds to the credibility of TA but does not necessarily validate it. It is possible that charts prepared with Lahiri ayanamsa may also work with this rule. 3. I would appreciate if I can get birthdata and details of foreign trip from more members. You can validate the rule on your own and report it or give me the data and I will report to the group. 4. In order not to make this email very long, I am not including the details of the charts I have collected. But I will try to post one case at a time in future emails as I get time. 5. For members who are not familiar with Rasi drishti, please do a search in google and you will find a few articles that explains rasi drishti. 6. If you test this rule on a chart, please take time to report your findings whether they are positive or negative. With Regards, Pratap Kaneria
Guest guest
Dear Pratap ji I am glad to see that - you have concluded your search of ayanamsa. I wish, this conclusion will be reflected in jyotish forums by TA followers.. Hopefully, TA believers (no exception) will not need to post chart reading / discussion requests to the forums / astrologers using wrong ayanamsa (in their opinion - all ayanamsa other than TA are wrong one). This notion is more clearly understood by asking "What do I know?." Pratap ji, just for my knowledge sake - Is it a unique and unexplored research? or, you have based your hypothesis on some classics. if classics - Please advise us more details for our elaborated understanding. Or there may be other factors too, to determine foreign travel. In your research, did you consider short distance travelling or long distance; short duration or long duration(job etc). I hope you will share your findings on the forum and educate us. BTW, I travelled (my first movement) in rahu / sun maadasha; rahu was transiting over natal sun; guru was transiting over natal rahu in 9th house and saturn was in scorpio. regards / Prafulla Gang This notion is more clearly understood by asking "What do I know?." > > pkaneria > Thu, 27 Jul 2006 07:59:58 -0700 (PDT) > naastrology > Pratap's Rule for Foreign Travel > > Dear Members of Naastrology group, > > About a couple of months ago, I requested members who travelled to > foreign countries to provide me with their birth data and details of > their first foreign trip. I know that you can claim to be guru of astrology and most definitely can identify all my life events precisely with Lahiri ayanamsa while I have declared a million times that I am just a novice in astrology. Of course I have been reading all Raman's books and a few other classics like Sarvarth Chintamani and Deva Keralam etc. Somewhere from these classics, I got a feeling that 12th house has lot to do with departure from home and I just kept looking at the charts that I have. By foreign travel I mean travelling to country where you were not born, this is because when I collected the charts from Naastrology members (and you were one of them), I requested the data on first foreign trip. ) BTW, I travelled (my first movement) in rahu / sun maadasha; rahu was transiting over natal sun; guru was transiting over natal rahu in 9th house and saturn was in scorpio.
