Guest guest
DearAshutoshji, You have mentioned in some post "that what comes for free is not really appreciated , and more demanding" I agree to this point in majority of cases this happens. All these years I had been spending major of spare time in reading horoscopes free for all relatives and their known contacts. This did not leave much time to do my own things. Until recently I made a rule, that if he is a close or distant relative I will read their and their immediate familys horoscope for free, but if they get some known contacts horoscope for reading I will charge Rs.500 to Rs.1000 for reading the same. After this proclamation I have found these same people now not taking much advantage from me, giving value, respect to my time and technical know how, and also at times bring in clients who pay me for services offered. This also keeps certain expenses looked for, family is also happy that this person (thats me) is not all living like sanyasi and neglecting duties and thus everyone is happy. I also never support any services for love affairs, or people wanting divorce and looking at me to support their divorce claims. The above is written to just assentuate what You said. Regards, Bhaskar.
Guest guest
Dear Bhaskar, The steps you took regarding charging fees were correct and appropriate. When all other professionals like doctors, pranic healers, therapists, priests, etc, are not ashamed of their professions, why should we astrologers be. I claim my profession in my income tax return as "Palmist and Astrologer." It is my full time and a very satisfying profession. I do not wish to take up any other profession though I keep on getting oppurtunities every day. About money, there are astrologers in Delhi who charge up to Rs.50000 per appointment. I do not have much faith in their knowledges but they know how to market themselves.
