Conclusion of Lalita Saharanama: PHALA SRUTI [1-8]

1. Thus, O Kumbha-Sambhava, the Thousand Names have been declared to

you, the Secret of Secrets that most pleases Sri Lalita!

 

2. There has been no Stotra (Hymn) equal in merit to this, nor will

there ever be one such! This Stotra causes all diseases to subside

and confers all prosperity.

 

3. It averts untimely death, avoids timely death, removes the pain

caused by fever, and confers longevity.

 

4. It blesses the childless with children and confers all the Goals

of Life (purusArthas). This Stotra is highly pleasing to Sri Devi!

 

5. The devotee of Lalita should always, with effort and

concentration, repeat this Stotra. After her/his morning bath, the

devotee should perform the Sandhya (dawn devotions) ceremony

regularly, go into the Puja room and there worship the Sri Chakra.

 

6. Then the devotee should repeat her/his Mantra -- a thousand

times, or three hundred times, or one hundred times at least.

 

7. Then s/he should repeat this secret Sahasranama. The wise one who

repeats it at least once in her/his lifetime will attain the results

here to be enumerated.

 

8. Listen now, O Kumbha-Sambhava, and I will declare to thee the

results of the virtue of reciting these names! [...]
