If you touch with your palm the head of a feverish person, while reciting this Sahasranama, then the fever and headache will be immediately relieved. 24/25. If you externally apply, for healing purposes, ash that has been sanctified by this Sahasranama, then all diseases will be immediately cured. 25/26. O Muni! If you empower a pot full of water through the recitation of this Sahasranama, and pour it over the head of a person who is "possessed," then the graha [evil spirit] will leave that person at once. 26/27. If you meditate on Mother Lalita as seated in the midst of the Nectar-Ocean, while reciting this Sahasranama, the effects of poison will be neutralized. 27/28. If a childless woman ingests butter sanctified by this Sahasranama, she will surely beget children. 28/29. If you meditate upon the Devi as binding the person one desires by Her noose, and drawing her/him toward you with Her elephant goad, that person will come to your side, even if confined in a palace. 30. If you would conquer a king, you should turn and face the direction in which that king resides, and repeat this Sahasranama for three nights, fully devoted to the worship of the Devi. ... 31. ... and that king, losing his independent spirit, will ride to you by horse or by elephant, and prostrate before you as a servant. 32/33. By a mere gaze at the person who daily repeats this secret Sahasranama, every being in the Three Worlds is bewitched. 33. The enemies of the person who recites this Sahasranama even once will be killed by Sarabheswara [a terrible/ugra form of Siva]. 34. Any black magic practiced against the person who recites this Sahasranama will not only be ineffectual; ... 35. ... but will also be made, by Pratyangiras [mantras or hymns that nullify the effect of black magic], to rebound upon the practitioner with deadly effect. 35/36. One who looks upon the reciter of this Sahasranama with an evil eye will soon be struck blind by Martanda Bhairava [a form of Siva Ardhanareswara]. 36/37. The thief who robs the property of a reciter of this Sahasranama will be killed by Ksetrapala [a temple-protecting form of Siva], wherever s/he may hide. 37/38. The learned one who dares debate or argue against the Vidya with a reciter of this Sahasranama will at once be struck dumb by Nakuleswari. 38/39.
