Sat Nam, everyone! The following is from an email I received

recently. Does anyone have any insights into this burping/hiccup

situation that I can pass on to her? I've not dealt with this

specifically before, so I don't know what to suggest offhand. But it

feels like something other than just a "release of energy" as she

suggested.

Many thanks!

"ever since December I have had this burping/hiccups which I guess is

a form of energy release as it comes on most powerfully when I do

yoga, especially kundalini, but regular yoga as well. I used to think

of it as an impediment to my yoga practice (as it made some formerly

relatively easy poses much more difficult and sometimes almost

impossible for me). Now I am wondering that perhaps my yoga practice

is a vehicle for releasing this stuff whatever it is, so perhaps we

can think of a kundalini set that can help the issue. Perhaps there

are also some other ways of dealing with this that make more sense.

The burping happens even when I had nothing to eat for a while and is

associated with tearing and yawning which also start when I am doing

yoga. While I am often tempted to dismiss tearing as non-

consequential, I am also getting concerned as one of my eyelids is

getting inflamed from constant irritation. If I am in a very balanced

state before going to yoga these things do not happen as much.

Perhaps you might have some insight into this.

I have a hunch that anything that would strengthen my breathing and

help me heal my sinus condition ( I've had post-nasal drip for years)

might be helpful in this situation."
