A part of their soul is invested in the murti. Or a part of their potency, if you prefer.

So that the murti and the person is considered non-different.

Are you speaking of a Deity residing in a Murti in Temples on earth? This I know about.

I am asking about those who say they will reside in some Murti (Image?? Statue??) when they are liberated from Samsara. What this means, I have no idea.

Sorry if I am misunderstanding you.

I heard it from Swaminarayan devotees. They do not have a message board where I can ask this question and I am not in contact with any in the 3D world to ask them.
