I know what a murti is, but what does it mean to reside in a murti? A part of their soul is invested in the murti. Or a part of their potency, if you prefer. So that the murti and the person is considered non-different.
Guest guest
Are you speaking of a Deity residing in a Murti in Temples on earth? This I know about. I am asking about those who say they will reside in some Murti (Image?? Statue??) when they are liberated from Samsara. What this means, I have no idea. Sorry if I am misunderstanding you. stonehearted
Maybe you should ask those from whom you heard it. I'm not sure anyone here knows what you're talking about.
Guest guest
I heard it from Swaminarayan devotees. They do not have a message board where I can ask this question and I am not in contact with any in the 3D world to ask them.
stonehearted
Well, I think we do have some Swaminarayana devotees who have visited here from time to time. Perhaps they'll be kind enough to help you with this. Those of us who are Gaudiya vaishnavas will probably not be able to help much.
Guest guest
Im a Swaminarayan follower, and no jeev lives in a statue, if any cult says so its devoid of the Swaminarayan teachings. As only Lord resides in murtis.
