For a Hindu Gods and Demons are all symbolism. Devas or GOD means those

thought process which are clear and healthy for good cognitive development

whereas demnon means those thought procees that obscure clear thinking. IN

otherwords, confusion, indecision, fickleness, meanness, lack of sympathy,

ego etc etc., are considered as demons.

Now, coming to Ganesha. How can a human body will have elephant face and on

top sit on a mouse. THIS IS TOTALLY ILLOGICAL But, if you see Ganesha

symbolically, Ganesha may look like an ordinary human being but he has the

strength of an elephant. Like a small mouse who can penetrate even tiny

holes- in the same way Ganesha can penetrate all obstacles and remove them.

In short with his massive strength he can penetrate any obstracles and

remove them for the welfare of his devotees.l
