Dear Bhagavathas

Adiyen would like to ask the excuse of all to bring up

this mundane things to this forum. But as a person who

believes in prapathi, adiyen having hard time

accepting predictive astrology about future of some

one or nation etc. There were some interesting

discussion going on in other that one

person saying there is no sanction in Veda, Puranas or

upanishad for predictive astrolgy and other group

saying astrology is vedic. The person who says there

is no sanction for predictive astrology in Veda is

also saying there is no reference to Planets such as

Shani etc in the vedic hymns nor in Sri Bagawat

Geetha. It will be great if some one can share the

thoughts of our Acharyas on predictive astrology. Also

Adiyen tend to learn from that source that none of our

panchangas are proper since they do not follow the

tenats laid by Bhagawan Sri. Krishna in Sri. Bagawat

Geetha. For example quote "Sri.Krishna says that the

Uttarayana starts when Sun starts to climb north. That

is Dec 23rd and not Jan 14th". He also tend to claim

we are not celebrating our festival in correct days

not only that, many Muhurthas are taken on wrong days.

Also he claims the panchanga is supposed to be used

for Nakshtra, Thithis and Murthas etc and not for

predictive astrology.

Will some one be able to clear the doubts.
