Guest guest Posted August 1, 2006 Report Share Posted August 1, 2006 Respected all scholars, This is about a strange incident that happened on last SATURDAY when I was sitting under a PEEPAL TREE in the Hanuman Temple premises along with many others,thinking of how the Lord can help me & end this solitude.It was around 7pm & there was a very cool breeze blowing.It looked as though it was going to rain.I was just thinking of leaving but was watching other devotees praying fervently & children playing in the open space.Suddenly a huge BLACK COBRA fell on me from the branch of the PEEPAL TREE under which I was sitting along with some 10 other devotees.It all happened so fast that I could hardly realise what struck me.It fell on me & then on the ground and sped away.On seeing it,everyone ran helter skelter for shelter & the cows tied in the compound too broke their ropes & started running helter skelter.Nothing happened to me except that when I realised what had fallen on me,I was dumbstruck & could NOT speak.Can anyone tell me the significance of this event & what it forebodes for me as I am now running my SADE SATTI middle phase being a KATAKA LAGNA AS WELL AS KATAKA RASI native?. Ever since that day I dream of this black cobra following me & it being driven away by a white elephant I am seated on & riding.What does this white elephant signify ?.Everyday I recite RUDRAM NAMAKAM CHAMAKAM & do archana to Shiva ling & recite HANUMAN CHALISA 11 times in the morning & 11 times in the evening.Anything more to be done to ward off imminent danger/catastrophes as I am just recovering from a throat malignancy & surgery for urinary stones.I am just too exhausted & just cannot take any more physical suffering.Sometimes I wish this incident forebodes the ultimate departure. Cobra adorns the Neelkanth You know. For others who are doing Pooja path but continuing with bad actions simultaneously this same incident would serve as warning. Most of us are more of God fearing rather than God loving.I had meant the other results for people who are otherwise and not You. Like a half glass filled with water can also be half- full for some other observer.,or half empty for another. I took one flower from Lord Shiva's temple and offered it in Ma Ganga, which was flowing nearby. Within minutes, I saw a snake floating in the water with its hood facing me. I felt it was a blessing. Age 12 I was at Ranikhet and going towards an ancient Lord Hanuman Temple. I was walking with my family and was lagging behind. I took a step and saw something dark dart milliseconds before I put my foot down. It was a dark cobra. It sped away and did not harm any of us. Age 19 At Jim Corbett Park, I was climbing a watch tower, a snake fell on my thigh and sped away. Age 20 Near outskirts of Bangalore, me and my friends were walking back from a satellite town to our hostel. The road was through a field of tall grass. An almost a gaint cobra, atleast 7 feet in length, lazily crossed right in front of us. I have had no problems during all these instances. Infact, I have grown to love snakes. Snake represent Kala.
