Dear Visti, Namaskaar

I hope everything is good at your end.

I recently came across a chart of a doctor who is having multiple

curses in the chart but the most prominent one being the curse of

Jupiter (Brahmin) as its the most benefic amongst all the planets.

Can you please suggest a suitable remedy for the native and suggest if

that will help her in getting married too ?

Birth details : April 7,1981 11:40 am, New Delhi,India

Sameer

Dear Sameer,

I hope you won't mind other answering this question. Learned Visti,

please comment on my analysis.

Looking at the chart,

1. The planets involved are in the Kendra, so the intention of this girl was

good but the person took it wrong and have cursed her, and the Atmakaraka

Moon is not involved in this Curse or cursed so, it will not be a

everlasting one.

2. The Retrograde of Ju and Sa indicates that the desire to have some

problems was intentional in the Home area and in the Work area.

3. The following mantra will alleviate based on the Jyothirlinga mantra OM

Namah Shivaaya Namah Bhimashankaraaya ( 5 malas)

4. UL is in the 8 House from Lagna with Ke. So the spouse might come from a

foreign region, and might get married secretly ( Reason: 8 th house being a

secret house)

5. Ma in 10H, also leads to Kuja Dosha, leads to marriage after 28th

birthday.

I think this is what I see looking at the chart.

Thanks

Anand

Dear Sameer, Namaskar

Jupiter is in the fourth house and among its lord and karaka, the karaka

Moon is best placed indicating that Gouri-Maa will help her. Advise the

mantra: Om Matre Namah.

Moon is also atmakaraka in the eleventh house showing that she is very good

at taking other peoples suffering, and it is through her profession as a

doctor that she is overcoming her curse. Atmakaraka is in the ninth house in

navamsa, and the eighth has then become the ishta devata. Advise her to pay

regular donations to a temple or spiritual sanctuary, especially those of

the devi.

There is a delay in getting married as two retrograde planets occupy the

seventh from Venus, delaying the coming of spouse. This is linked to the

curse, and would be remedied with the mantra i already gave.

Best wishes,

Dear Anand,

Thanks for your kind reply and patience in looking into the chart.

Why would Ke cause foreign connection, I think that should be true

for Rahu instead. Again UL in 8th indicates some difficulty in

getting married but I am not sure about marriage in a secret place.

Dear Sameer, Namaskar

Both nodes are on the border, whilst Ketu is focussing on everything that

comes into the country, whilst Rahu is always moving out of the country.

Why should UL in eighth cause difficulty in getting married? Usually it

means that the person feels very indebted towards the spouse, and sees it as

an opportunity to pay off their karmic debts.

Best wishes,

Re: [Om Krishna Guru] Remedy for curse of a Brahmin

Dear Sameer,

I hope you won't mind other answering this question. Learned Visti,

please comment on my analysis.

Looking at the chart,

1. The planets involved are in the Kendra, so the intention of this girl was

good but the person took it wrong and have cursed her, and the Atmakaraka

Moon is not involved in this Curse or cursed so, it will not be a

everlasting one.

[Visti] Rather, the cursed Jupiter is in a kendra so the intention was good.

2. The Retrograde of Ju and Sa indicates that the desire to have some

problems was intentional in the Home area and in the Work area.

[Visti] I think you need to rething this one.

3. The following mantra will alleviate based on the Jyothirlinga mantra OM

Namah Shivaaya Namah Bhimashankaraaya ( 5 malas)

[Visti] You have chosen this based on AL and Moon. But, will this alleviate

the curse?

4. UL is in the 8 House from Lagna with Ke. So the spouse might come from a

foreign region, and might get married secretly ( Reason: 8 th house being a

secret house)

[Visti] No, not foreign, but could have different culture. I agree with the

ideas about secrecy.

5. Ma in 10H, also leads to Kuja Dosha, leads to marriage after 28th

birthday.

[Visti] Mars in tenth house does not lead to Kuja dosha.

I think this is what I see looking at the chart.

Thanks

Anand

Dear Anand,

Just to attempt to give a few thoughts in addition to the valuable

pointers that Visti has given.

Regarding Brahman Shrapa. Guru is in the 4th House and as Visti

said, this is what shows that the act which caused the curse was

done with a good intention and ultimately after the curse has

manifested, will give good results in the chart.

As there is a Parivartana between Guru and Budh, the results of Guru

will come from Meena Rashi and this shows that the knowledge wad

done with intent and not blindly or out of ignorance.

Mars is the greater malefic in the chart and the 11th Bhava being

stronger shows that the sense of optimism and fulfilment of hopes,

gains, income, freinds and father could be the areas where the

suffering manifests through anger, sorrow and damage to the sense of

self respect.

The curse is strong and the element of sin incurred is also

considerable due to the retrogression of Saturn and the involvement

of the 8th Lord. The curse oridibarily could not have been redeemed

due to the retrogression of Saturn but the 5th Lord Venus is exalted

in the 10th House and remedial measures will work.

Sanjay Ji has given remedial measures for the Brahman Shrapa in the

Vedic Remedies in Astrology. I have recently had personal experience

of these working 'miraculous results' in the charts of two parents

with Brahman Shrapa afflicting progeny. Upon Upaya, there have been

truly incredible results. Donate a cow on a Guruvar to a Brahmin and

feed the Brahmins as well. If you are in areas where this can be

done, then it is not as onerous as it might sound. Godaan works very

well and the fact that Guru is Ishwara in the chart can be seen.

About marriage. Well, the UL is in the 8th House and the 6th Lord

Ketu is placed in it. Ketu is a benefic for the Upapada so the 6th

Lordship is mitigated by that fact. The Lord of the Upapada, Shani

is placed with the retrograde Badhak and is afflicted by Sun and

Mars. Due to the Parivartana, exalted Mercury will conjoin the lord

of the UL. The UL is in the 5th from the AL, shoing a relationship

of affection. The Lords are also conjunct, showing close relations.

But the UL Lord is debilitated in the Navamsha and is afflicted in

Rashi.

Saturn and Rahu, the two lords of the 2nd from UL are in debility in

Navamsha. The relationship may not transform into marriage due to

the affliction of the UL Lord and UL. Even the longevity is not free

from stress. The next relationship is seen from Leo. The Lord Sun

has directional strength and the 2nd Lord is well placed in rashi

and Navamsha taking Parivartana into account.

Anurag Sharma

Dear Anuraag-ji,

Namaskar. Its Brahmin and not Brahman.

Brahmin is a Dvija. Nice explanation. Go-daan is also giving wealth and

cows represent wealth in olden times. This is stated for those cultures

which do not have a tradition.

A curse or a shaapa shows that there is a need to learn a particular

lesson in life (through suffering and remedial actions). Hence we should

always highlight this *learning* part. Donation of cow or offering

flower to a deity is a symbolic gesture only and is similar to idol

worship (which is necessary for most of us). But one needs to

internalize these lessons conciously and properly. That is the best

remedy. For Brahim shaapa, obeying and respecting the elders and wise

and conforming to laws and ethics (Guru) is essential.

Have you wondered why Curses are sins that are transferred from one life

to next, and even across generations, and not just nullified by

suffering withing that past life itself ? This is because knowledge is

not internalized. Just wanted to stress on this.

Best wishes,

Sourav

Dear Sourav, Namaskar

Go-daan is also symbolic of donating the Rg Veda, as the Rg Veda is said to

be the Go-Mukha of the four Vedas.

Rg Veda - Go Mukha

Yajur Veda - Haya Mukha (hayagreeva)

Sama Veda - Aja Mukha

Atharva Veda - Hanu Mukha

To have 'Veda' means to have knowledge. This knowledge is supposed to lead

to emancipation, and on a lesser level to the emancipation from ones curses.

So if the Go-Daan is a first step to alleviating the curses, i think we

should accept the rishis words and do so.

Re: [Om Krishna Guru] Remedy for curse of a Brahmin

|| Hare Rama Krsna ||

Dear Anuraag-ji,

Namaskar. Its Brahmin and not Brahman.

Brahmin is a Dvija. Nice explanation. Go-daan is also giving wealth and cows

represent wealth in olden times. This is stated for those cultures which do

not have a tradition.

A curse or a shaapa shows that there is a need to learn a particular lesson

in life (through suffering and remedial actions). Hence we should always

highlight this *learning* part. Donation of cow or offering flower to a

deity is a symbolic gesture only and is similar to idol worship (which is

necessary for most of us). But one needs to internalize these lessons

conciously and properly. That is the best remedy. For Brahim shaapa, obeying

and respecting the elders and wise and conforming to laws and ethics (Guru)

is essential.

Have you wondered why Curses are sins that are transferred from one life to

next, and even across generations, and not just nullified by suffering

withing that past life itself ? This is because knowledge is not

internalized. Just wanted to stress on this.

Best wishes,

Sourav

SARVAM GYANANANDAMAYAM

AUM GURUBYO NAMAH

Dear Sourav,

Namaste. What we possess in reality other than Ahankara, kala & Karma!!!! To go beyond the limitations of Kala we need to recognize the importance of Rishi and reverentially approach their immortal words. To get rid of the Ahankara we need to give ourselves as food/nivedana to Ista Devatha(AK is the real bakshana/food being in 2nd to Ista). To convert all our papa karmas we need to keep the Rishi & Ista Devatha in mind and indulge in such acts like dana which is solely intended in glorifying the Rishis & the Ista Devatha.

The Kala is won over by ---Rishi

The Karma is won over by ----Chaandas(acts done like dana)

The Ahankara is won over by ---Ista Devatha.

Best wishes.

May Mother Bless.

Astrologically & spiritually yours,

p.s.ramanarayanan.

Dear Sri Rama Narayanan-ji,

Namaskar.

Thank you for providing your comments. Kindly read my two comments

below.

(1) I am not opposed to Daanam at all. But I think that there is a

difference in context. For example, donation of money to buy text books

for 15 needy children is different from teaching knowledge to those

children. One is poshanam (action as a patron) and the other is

gyana-daanam (action as a teacher). Hence the context should not be

mixed up. The action over all is giving.

(2) The remedies always refer to something of an Indian/Aryan context.

When we think of a Rsi we think of a person in Indo-Aryan civilization.

But Rsi-tva doesn't have geographical boundaries. If we think of a Rsi

in Saudi-Arabia region, he may have substituted a cow with a camel as

camels are prevalent there are very helpful to people there. What is the

point in suggesting a person in Saudi-Arabia to donate a cow if there is

no cow ? We shouldn't forget that symbology is behind these

prescriptions. Next even if we give a cow to a Brahmin, and if he lives

in a city with no convenience to keep a cow, it will be problematic for

him getting this gift. So we can give him daanam in some more convenient

form. Daanam should also be a sacrifice and out of possession. That is

real giving up of ahankaara.

Rsi's have wanted us to understand and not follow literally. That is one

of the reasons why they were so cryptic and advise was not given in too

many words.

Best wishes,

Sourav

Dear Sourav Ji,

While on pronounciation. It is actually Braahmana when you see the

word in the Devanagari script. It is not really that important but

as you have spoken of it, so I am just clarifying the usage. In

Jyotish we often try to approximate the Sanskrit and the Devanagari

when we attempt to communicate in English. This is the reason for

using devices like the diacritical signs in spiritual literature in

English. This is the reason why Sanjay Ji, for example, uses them in

his articles.

'Dasa' for example in fora like these, does not have a diacritical

sign over the 'S' and frequently people will not pronounce the 's'

as 'sh' but as 's' in 'silent', which is not the correct

pronounciation. Again, I believe this is not very important.

Yes, Brahmin, the word as it is written in the English language is

the Dwija, or the twice born referring to the Upanayana Sanskar when

the Brahim transforms from mere animal being to a spiritual entitiy.

Parallel cultures across history have had many such 'rites of

passage' which abound in mythological and anthropological writings.

The word Brahman which I have used is not Brahman, used in English

Indological and spiritual literature to denote the Universal Soul,

but the Dwija. In the Hindi language there is no pronounciation

like 'Brahmin'. This is just a peculiarity of the English language.

The problem lies with the English language itself. The problem is

this: Unlike the Hindi language which is perfectly 'phonetic' in

that it is spoken exactly the way it is spoken, English is not so.

Thus, words like 'knife' in which the 'k' for some unknown reason is

silent. There are no such unknown reasons in the Devanagari Lipi,

the Hindi Language and the Sanskrit, through which the 'light

shines'.

While on suffering a curse, Sanjay Ji brought out a beautiful point

in his paper on Shrapa: spiritual people are seen to suffer a lot

more because they are ensuring they get rid of this in this life

itself and their sins are not transferred to another incarnation.

I am in agreement with you about the internalising of the lessons.

That is well put.

Regards.

Dear Anuraag-ji,

Namaskar. The point is that I wanted it

clarified for students here. One never knows how errors propagate. Thank

you for your patience.

P.S. : I am repeating this message as it seems that these days

sometimes truncates messages as earlier

Best wishes,

Dear Arvind,

I think you might want to look at the Male Chart slightly more

carefully. There is a Brahman Shrapa in the chart. Guru is afflicted

in Guru-Chandala Yoga. But this happens in the 4th House and shows

that the act which got cursed was done with good intent. The native

knew exactly what he was doing as Guru is in Dhanu Rashi.

The involvement of the 8th Lord and the Lagnesh shows that there has

been considerable sin incurred and that the Dhi Shakti/ intelligence

or the sense of self worth has suffered harm due to this curse. This

is the first thing that has to be remedies. The Saptamshas in both

charts do not have Shani, Budh and Shukra in trines and the Vikrama

Pada and the Bhagya Pada are not badly placed from the Sun as well.

The Arudha of the 3rd and 9th Bhavas from the Sun are also well-

placed in both charts.

The Upaya for the Brahman Shrapa should alleviate this problem. The

Upaya is given in an earlier e-mail below. Bhagwad Gita Daan is also

considered akin to Go Daan so you may consider that in case the Go

Daan is not possible.

In the male chart, Rahu loses a lot of its strength due to the fact

it is Neecha in Dhanu Navamsha. Its Moola Dasha has delivered the

curse.

The 8th House of sudden events and physical and mental torment can

be the focal area for the manifestation of the curse. The 4th House

will also be badly affected and Sukha and domestic environment will

suffer. Mars is not retrograde and the Upaya will bear fruit. The

remaining 4 years of Rahu Dasha will become tolerable and the Dwara

of the Arudha will open with attention paid to the Shrapa in the 7th

therefrom. Guru is also the Badhak and adds to the difficulties in

that regard.

I hope this clarifies the situation somewhat regarding the Brahman

Shrapa.

If the Upaya is done, a daughter should be born. This is shown by

the 5th Lord Venus in the Saptamsha conjoining the Moon in Mithun

Rashi. The likelihood is of one child as Rahu is in Lagna. Though

Rahu is exalted but two female Grahas and the Rashi show a daughter.

Best Wishes,

Anurag Sharma

Dear Visti,Namaskaar

Got it, Ketu is imports and Rahu is exports . With UL in 8th what

would be the activity which will bring the spouse ? Is it study of

occult and secrets ?

Dear Anurag and Arvind, Namaskar

I think the lady suffers from a blood-related disease which is causing

problems with conceiving. Please do check and let us know.

Re: [Om Krishna Guru] Remedy for curse of a Brahmin

Dear Suresh,

You have writen this on Guruvar and it appears to be the strength of

Guru placed in Kendra in Dhanu Rashi that has brought this for you.

Guru Moola dasha started in 1998! It is capable of delivering the

curse. The Moola Dasha of Mars that was runnning till recently is

involved in the curse. Guru shows that the intention which prompted

the act on your part was good. The 8th Lord Mars shows the sin is

heavy. Mars is retrograde showing that remedial measures may not

relieve the evil entirely but will give you the strength to bear the

burden. Guru is aspected by the Graha Drishti of Rahu and Mars. Mars

is more malefic.

Sudden adverse developments and perceived work will suffer due to

the focus of the anger and the shock being the 8th House (10th from

the Arudha Lagna).

Donate 4 Bhagwad Gitas to Brahmins or to a spiritual insititute that

can accept them of the donation of a cow on Guruvar is not possible.

This will give you the strength to bear the adversity.

The current stresses are more due to the Sade-Sati for the Simha

Rashi in your chart. Recite the Rudra Chamakam for relief. Saturn is

also forming Kantak Shani from the AL and this recitation is the

primary remedy. The worst of past Karma and the Brahman Shrapa is

over.

Best Wishes,

Anurag Sharma
