Below the text you will find the route discription for the ratha yatra

festival for all Devotees who plan to attend the Cologne Ratha yatra:

 

 

my recommendation for you:

 

you should come directly to the temple. park the car near to the temple. and

go with us together by train to the spot. it is just 20 min by train. easy

going. we start to move from the temple 9.00 am. please be in time.

7.15 am deity-greeting with kirtan. 8.00 am. breakfast prasadam (if you can

come earlier).

 

how to come to the temple:

 

A4 from Aachen to Frankfurt

 

Cross the Rheinriver-bridge

 

after the bridge you take the 2nd exit KÖLN DEUTZ - ZENTRUM

 

A559 you drive direction ZENTRUM after 1,5 km you take the

exit KÖLN KALK/POLL

 

You turn right into the Rolshoverstrasse, after 200m you pass the ARAL

Petrolstation and the next trafficcross you turn right (Grembergerstr.)

 

You drive 300-400 m you will see on your left side a big catholic church and

their you turn right into the TAUNUSSTRASSE.

 

Taunusstrasse 40 (after 200 m) on the left side is the temple. the parking

costs nothing.

 

In the case you can't be on time at the temple, then you should drive

directly to the spot.

Adress: Zülpicher Strasse opposite University-Mensa (Trainstaion Name is

"Universität").

 

Greeting of Jagannatha, Baladeva & Subhadra is at 10:00 am

 

Procession starts at 11:00 am

 

03:00 pm Stageprogram at the famous Dom with Prasadamfeast for all Devotees

and more

 

Please bring karatalas for playing and some flowers or fruits for

Jagannatha.
