Mantra for honoring ancestors &/or close relatives that have passed?

I was wondering if there is a particular mantra or prayer that is used

to honor those in our family line who have passed?

Ramya has already responded to your post. From personal experience, my

grandmother recently passed. I was advised to do the gaytri mantra and

the visnu sahasranama. I was also advised to put flowers for the loved

one. After chanting the sahasranam, Swamiji asked my loved one that

had passed to bless us still here. So, we do sadhana to help them in

their passing and also ask for their blessing for us. If you search
