Dear Devi ~ bless you for asking this question. My mother passed on July 6, and I have been filled with grief. It hits me when I least expect it. I think if I had a special mantra; if there is a special mantra for those who have passed, would be such a wonderful way of honoring my mother and connecting with her. Guest guest
Namaste Linda and Devi, A dear friend was talking to Swamiji and saying that it was the anniversary of his father's passing - what could he do? Swamiji adviced him to chant the VISHNU SAHASRANAAM. These are the 1000 names of Vishnu in Swamiji's Vishnu Puja book. If that is hard to do, we can do the Vishnu mantra "Om Kleem Vishnave Namaha" a certain number of times. I have heard people doing the GAYATRI Mantra also on such occassions. May God bless you with peace in your mind and love in your heart as you pray to Him for a beautiful journey for your loved ones.
