Guest guest
Om namo bhagavate Sri Ramanaya ! With or without physical body, our Guru is eternal. Look at this life experience. Like all Ramana Devotees world over, my sister has been reciting daily Arunachala Akshara Mana Maalai - a boon to this world by Lord Shiva through the divine hands of our Guru. My sister's sons used to ridicule her that neither Lord Arunachala nor Ramana Maharshi (as to them both are different!) helps them get good job. My sister felt hurt and worried that her sons ridicules her like that. She had, therefore, changed a word in verse 22 as below:- KELATHALIKKUM KEDIL PUGAZHAI KELI (KEDU) SEYYATHARUL ARUNACHALA - means O Lord Arunachala, see that the glory of your grace given to us unasked is not ridiculed (spoilt) - words given in brackets are the original ones in the verse. Our omnipresent eternal Guru noticed this change in the word and meaning !! My nephew met with a near fatal accident on 28th July 06. A passerby immediately got him admitted in Apollo Hospitals and informed sister. Doctors wondered how this sort of a head injuy did not damage the brain / eyesight / hearing faculty / vocal chords ! He is now back at home. Who sent that samaritarian soul exactly at the time of accident? Who carefully saw that no serious damage was done to this constant ridiculer? My nephews realized the grace of our Guru. Recitation now continues aloud with dots of tears at the edges of eyes and our Guru shows His trade mark smile and silence. Guru need not be in physical form - for He is eternal - omnipresent and omnipotent. Ramanaarpanam !
