Guest guest
Om Namo Bhagavate Sri Ramanaya ! Inscrutible are the ways of destiny. Life is a cryptic combination of fate and free will. Bhagavan would say even a Gnani should work out the "prarabtha karma" - the accrued and accumulated usufructs of one's deed in the past births. However, our eternal guru is with us to help us know the answer if we seek so from Him. Any sorts of doubts or any number of experiences - better or bitter can thus be clarified. One day when I was searching for some important document at home, my wife, not understanding my serious mood, pulled my legs through some playful casual comments. Provoked by that unintentioal deed of my wife, I pushed her forcibly in wrath that she dashed against the wall nearby. It must have been so paining to her that tears appeared on her eyes. Soon I realized my mistake and became very much sad that I had never behaved like that with her before. Moreover, as as a spiritual aspirant who is doing Atma Vichara and talking tall about killing the ego and the like, I felt ashamed and could not find a valid reason or justification for my action. On such occasions, it is my habit to take out some Ramana literature and turn a page to look for Bhagavan's words of solace. That day also I took a book and turned a page. There appeared a question of Swamy Natanananda to Bhagavan "Swamy some times I become so angry that I could not control it but realize only after everything happened. As a spiritual person I am not supposed to behave this way?" Bhagavan replies "nothing under the sun wants to get killed so easily - similarly the ego which you want to kill becomes very powerful at times - don't worry itis a good sign that it would be killed soon" - I showed this to my wife also who silently smiled like our Guru !! ETERNAL GURU answers every one of us like this. Ramanaarpanam. Ganesh Ramachandran
