I got it sometime back, the day when she responded in her message : write letter to your guru ... if you want help how to write letter to your inner guru, email me. I can help you. ... and my last message entitle letting go of the self.. and her eventually response confirm it all" Now I spend the time to read all her messages... suddenly this is what comes to my mind. Many years ago, when I'm younger then, I went to London. I told myself then that the first place I want to go is the Hyde Park : Britain symbol of free speech. I come from a country where there is limited free speech or no speech at all. So its just logical that Hyde Park is my must see attraction. And to Hyde Park I spend my first day in London. As we all know, all sort of people goes there for their own reason. There's the Christian, the Muslim and the Jewish missionary, all trying to propagates their belief. Arguing amongst themselves hurdling their bible, their Koran and their whatever holy book in the air. They all bored me to death. But there this one solitary person standing in the far corner, away from all these. Standing on a small box looking very nervous, talking to himself. Most of the people there don't even look at him. They just walk by ignoring him. I have this weakness for such solitary personality, so I decided to give him the attention. Let's see what this guy got to say, I told myself. And so I did. I stand there before him, giving him my 100% attention. He got more nervous. Perhaps he is thinking to himself: what do I have here. This girl, she wears Indian cloth, have this black dot on her [ looking very Hindu ] but she look Chinese. Many would think I'm from Nepal. Back to this young man. He continued to speak stammered at times. His topics jumble from Chinese History to the Chinese Revolution, and most of the time very confusing. Then an Indian guy join me. Suddenly the topic change from Chinese Revolution to Indian Revolution. To Indian China border disputes etc. Eventually from 1/2, the whole congregation grew to about 20 people. He got the attention but he becomes so conscious of it and becomes even more confusing. He stammered at times and I could see him sweating profusely. The Indian guy turn to me and asked; do you understand what he is saying? I responded Nope. I'm lost. Nothing he said make sense. We both laugh, and I walked away. Perhaps this whole thing is not meant to make sense at all. This young man is there for his own reason. I remember watching a documentary program about a business school in Japan. You have this group of young business graduates standing in the market place shouting their way through. I learnt that, they do this to overcome their fears of public speaking. When I went through my undergraduate study. One of my major is : Ethics. My professor likes to provoke us, especially us Asian from Malaysia and Singapore. We hardly argue nor we question him. This drives him nuts. Lulu is a teacher indeed. A trainee teacher undergoing teaching course in the center of teaching excellence. She is a doctoral student in Educational Studies. What better way to experiment her theory in teaching methods, but to come to one of the many active chat room, portraying herself as a realize person [ A guru. Teacher is a Guru yes! ] with this profound knowledge and see where ignorant people like us will buy. If she succeed, she is indeed a good teacher and perhaps will get distinction or outstanding award for her effort. This is what I see. Prove me wrong !
