Meaning:

If the old harsh disease of vinai, thins (me out),

save, oh Master! Even if I, the one under hard vinai,

toil is the result assured? Oh the Husband of umA,

my Governor! Don't (You) need to tolerate if (I) err?

"Oh the One with twined hair with crescent, is it

appropriate?", saying so when I call, can (You)

refrain from blessing, Oh Mother, to Your slave?

Notes:

1. In this whole padhikam our saint of great wisdom,

emphasizes the inadequacy of the effort of the soul,

however hard it be, and pleads to the Lord for the

descend of Grace.
