All this is done for the final purpose of lighting up the wick and explode it so that nothing remains of that cracker. Here also the ego inside has to be exploded so that nothing remains. In Tamil one word for cracker is 'vANam'. The vANaM' (that is the ego) is elaborately prepared through a sAdhanA for the final purpose of exploding it and making it 'NirvANa! Namaste Prof. ji, Thanks for the entire series. They are so inspiring. How nicely the Mahaswamiji has conveyed the idea that what is meticulously earned is only for being spent selflessly later ! And look at the term that is used for this in the shastra: sAdhana-chatuShTaya-sampatti. Sampatti is wealth. Again inside it is the shamAdi-ShaTka-sampatti. It is this wealth that has to be accumulated in abundance. Here is a nice verse from the Sarvadarshana-sangrahaH: Bhakti-lakShmI-samRR^IddhAnAm kim-anyad-upyAchitam etayA vA daridrANAm kim-anyad-apayAchitam (For those who are steeped in devotion, what other 'wealth' is there to crave for? For those who are utterly impoverished in respect of this 'wealth', what other poverty is there to be got rid of?) Saint Purandaradaasa sang: nAneke baDavano....O SrInAtha, the Lord of ShrIH, when You are there as my refuge, how can i be devoid of wealth?
