Guest guest
Thank you Guru Gopal Kaur: I did not know that meditation. So many of my students have a past they have a hard time leaving behind. . . and I do too! I taught them that meditation and I got feedback after class that when I told them to simply embrace the childhood pain, or whatever pain they felt, that they were able to relax into the meditation and the pain left. We did not stay very long in it during class but the experience was magical to them I have started doing this meditation 3 days ago for the full 11 minutes. Afterwards, today, I just experienced such an easy state of peace and I chose to enjoy it for 20 minutes before I resumed with my regular practice. What a blessing! Blessings, Awtar
Guest guest
Sat Nam Awtar: You are welcome and thank you for the feedback on the meditation, the impetus to begin it myself (I did last night) and inspiration to teach the meditation to the women in the recovery center. How many of us do not have our lotus roots in some sort of muck? Guest guest
This meditation is in "Meditation as Medicine" by Dharma Singh Khalsa, M.D. and Cameron Stauth. The full name is given as Medical Meditation to Release the Past Especially Childhood Anger. It may be in other manuals under a different name. The book lists several meditations I am familiar with by one name by a different name based on the medical or psychological imbalances may correct. I purchased the book from YogaTech website.
