Guest guest
Sat Nam to All, I was wondering if you could suggest a set for my friend to help her tame the monkey mind. In reiki they taught us that the monkey mind is located in the back of the head. However in Kundalini yoga this may be different. Any suggestions are welcome, Vito
Guest guest
Dear Vito: First she needs to be convinced that her mind has very little interesting things to say. So ask her to spend 3 days writing everything that her mind thinks about without censoring anything. Then ask her to re-read it and evaluate what percentage of it has any worth. After that teach her Sat Kriya (3 to 5 minutes) and the Kirtan Kriya. Start with 5 minutes of Kirtan Kriya, and when she is ready for more: 11 minutes. When that's mastered she can do 31 minutes. I would not teach her anything else unless she wants to practice Kundalini Yoga regularly. The Sat Kriya will stabilize and strengthen her nervous system so she can handle the meditation of the Kirtan Kriya. Blessings, Awtar

Guest guest
Dear A.P.: May I suggest you write in lower case letters. It is customary to use upper case letters to emphasize something. When I used to work for the pharmaceutical industry, they told us that upper case letters are an expression of high emotions like fear or anger and should be avoided. To me it is simply more relaxing to the eyes to read lower case letters. Thanks in advance. You are asking for a description of Sat Kriya and Kirtan Kriya. Are you aware that these are described on the website www.yogatech.com <> ? Simply go to the meditations of the week for the Sat Kriya and lesson 15, I believe, for the Kirtan Kriya. Blessings and good wishes, Awtar
