Dear friends,

What makes someone to be inclined to wear black clothes most of the

times? This might seem an unimportant issue, but what if they also do

not like sunshine and daylight and make their room dark? Does this

suggest imbalance in any of the chakras? and how can this be cured?

Dear Merhdad:

I don't know that anyone can generalize.

I know someone who used to keep her apartment very dark and wear dark

clothes and she was depressed and hiding from the world. Now that she is

less depressed her apartment is well lit and more organized, she also wears

a variety of clothes.

I would suggest you feel for yourself what your impression is. Trust your

instincts or intuition a little. If you perceive they are angry or hiding

from the world, and if it is appropriate, ask this person if they feel angry

or if they feel like hiding from the world or whatever your impression is.

It might start opening them up.

On the other end this person may have been extremely social for too long and

needs some time alone and that's his/her way to create a cocoon to go

through a period of inner transformation.

Can you talk with that person?

Blessings,

Awtar

As you try to analyze this and delve into all the dark reasons why also remember that this person just might like black and looks good in it.

Dear Friends in the group:

I hate to be practical but wearing black is a very slimming thing to do

for us heavier women. Also there is a high amount of sophistication to

wearing black.....Tuxedos, that little black dress, scarves, veils. Sheer black

veils are considered erotic when used appropriately. Yes, we do use black to

indicate a state or mourning.............a generation or two or three back all

the older women in Spain always wore black........I think it was Hemingway

who said that Spain was in a perpetual state of mourning. Don't quote me on

that. I usually put quotes where they don't belong. Spanish eyes behind

black fans.

The little black coat that goes with everything and on and on.

Black stockings are considered artistic when an artist wears them and

black underwear, well.............I think maybe we need to be just a little

humerous about black.

I wear black all the time and I¹m quite cheery. I¹m even nicknamed Sunshine

by those who know me well. It just looks more sophisticated at work, in

business.

Peace,

Jennifer
