What can I do? You say I shouldnt bring this up to Amma, but then some others want to do so. Moreover, Tom has referred to Dayamrita Swami as " deadbeat " etc, and has spoken very derogatively of Dayamrita Swami- completely uncalled for, gratuitous remarks.

Dayamrita Swami is such a wonderful person who works night and day for Amma. It pains me to see someone slander him.

Whatever issues Tom has with the Swami , let him take it up with the Swami personally. Why should he use this public forum to criticise Swami, that too when Swami has no chance of defending himself?

And look at the statements. The latest about LS- it was Dayamrita Swami who started the mass chanting of LS at MA center. I was there, I remember him making the request. Previously they used to do it only once a month. I was there when Swami asked if we could do it every saturday at 5 pm for the sake of the world and then chant Lokah samastha.

And here Tom says thngs like "why doesnt Dayamrita Swami do this for the sake of the world etc?". I dont know where he gets off, criticsing someone with no supporting basis.

And I lived near MA center for the last few years and I have had the pleasure of knowing Dayamrita Swami for so many years. Should I keep quiet when I know someone is slandering him like this?

Would you keep quiet if somone simply says false stuff against your brother or friend in a public forum - that too when the "accused" has no chance of defending himself?

Of course, Dayamrita Swami himself will not worry about these unfounded scurrilous remarks as he knows he follows Amma's words to the best of his ability . But I dont think we should watch this nonsense silently.

I am all for free speech, but I am aganst slander.

I have nohing against Tom, I dont even know who he is , I have never met him . May Amma/God bless him with peace, but I cant stand quiet when he slanders someone I know well.

I aologise if I have offended anyone.

I wonder what Keval , our moderator, thinks about these kinds of remarks in a public forum .

Hi Bala,

hope you are doing well in india. I would very much like to hear what

Amma has to say on this, so if this is possible please ask Amma and

let me know.

I personally believe that all of Amma's swamis are wonderful people

and well intentioned most of the time. Am very eager to know what Amma

has to say.

Yogaman, its always a pleasure to see you on this list. I also am in support of going to Amma for her insights about our dear brother Tom, though not in a telling-on-him way, but more in a way of asking what is the best way for us all to support our brother who is suffering. I relate very strongly to some of the difficulties that Tom is experiencing, having grown up very poor and struggling just to survive for a very long time. Only recently has that situation improved. Amma is Tom's mother, and he himself has declared his wish for Balaji to approach Amma in this matter. The only possible outcome is blessing for Tom and all of us.

I am very much in favor of ANY increase in spiritual practices, LS, puja, homas, japa, meditation, seva, these are all very good and the answer can only ever be YES. Especially with the state of the world at this time. Amma says (paraphrase), "Do not wait to do something virtuous, do it immediately if it is good." If the desire is strong, all obstacles will clear to support our noble intentions. We should not be deterred by personal differences with figures of authority.

I have personally committed to practice daily abhishekam of Sphatika Sri Chakra Meru for universal peace and light, although I am still saving for it. In the meantime I am doing abhishekam to a small Sri Yantra. This is the way that I feel inspired to contribute, and I fully support Tom's and everyone's efforts towards supporting peace everywhere.

In regards to the issue of negative comments, I think it is best to see past the language and understand the factors that would cause a person to behave in that way. People yell when they feel that they are not being heard. What a wonderful opportunity all of this has been for us to practice speaking the language of love and not the language of seperation!

love,

Prajna

Dear Balaji,

I am only saying don't bring it up to Amma because it is not worth taking up even a moment of Her focus to do so. This is just my opinion. Do as you see fit. It is okay with me either way.

Maybe it would be prudent to bring it up to Dayamritaji first? Maybe forward him some of Tom's remarks with Tom's email. Let them get into a discussion directly, if that is what Dayamritaji wants.

My views on Tom's statments are well known. I have said them several times. I agree with everything you have written, of course.

As far as Keval, I don't know why he allows such things. But he is the moderator. What can we do, except start yet another forum. Is it really of great interest to do so?

Jai Maa!
