I always wonder about the choice of saying we're where we're "supposed to be" versus just saying that we are where we are. Sometimes, personally, I bristle against the language of "supposed to be" (especially when all I can do is accept the reality of what is). Sometimes, I wonder if there is some deeper meaning or purpose to me being in a given circumstance or state at a given time. Sometimes, I'd like to think so and sometimes I just don't buy it. Or...are we just where we are because we haven't developed/opened enough to be in another place/state? Is that the same as saying we're "supposed to be" where we are? Sometimes I think these are the same and sometimes I think they feel very different.
