Guest guest
I'm surprised that some of the responses seem off-center of my original point(s), so I'll try to clear it up rather than respond individually to them: 1. Group chanting is very much more powerful than Individual effort, and this is what Amma teaches. The idea of a "group resolve" but individual effort is Technically ok, and is in the lines of Shree Maa, but is very much different because the individual discipline, resolve and citta contributed is varied and thereby affects the outcome. Re-read the first sentence here. 2. By "group chanting", I'm referring to LARGE events. In English that means LARGE events... Not the regular local ones, private ones, or individual chantings. I mean the size and Universality of the Atma Puja, although a look at the tour brochure and website shows the locals still call it Devi Puja after all these years. That's why the poll is detailed in it's explation: to discriminate facts, not evoke y'all's emotions to decide, which it has. 3. This is not about Dayamrita's actions as Director of MA Center and related local San Ramon events, but as National Satsang Leader. Unless this is more misinformation passed onto locals by the local core-members, Dayamrita is responsible for the nation's satsangs in general in this matter. 4. Not requiring people to attend the morning archana at Amrirpuri or any ashram is one thing, but there's plenty of stories in the books and I've personally been told (1st person) where Amma chastises them for not doing so. It's a part of discipline. Besides, it's why I gave the option of a Lax Archana instead of the complicated LS and/or MAM Stotram. The problem lies in what I call, The Essential Sadhana Details. I've attended some LS events, local and not, in which everyone was falling asleep before it ended, due to the placement in the program and the way it was performed--- it can't be done like that if it's going to have an effect. 5. Please stop debating the Messenger and debate the Message. I know it's tempting, but please stay on topic of the facts. 6. Please consult Dayamrita for the issue of determining Dharma, so we can have his "method for determining Dharma" on record, so to say. My own comment: I'm very surprised at the lack of devotion to Amma's teachings on the matter, but the true to devotion to Tamas (laziness, selfishness and cheapness and making excuses to support them). But I guess you're in the majority, as the locals are very much a darshan-only seva type too. tom
