Guest guest
Amarnathji wrote me the letter below. I thought it addressed some good points and that my response to him also affirmed relevant opinion on the subject. Based on that, I decided it might be a good idea to post it here. The main point is that as so many have stated, this is a satsang...so we should treat it as such. We should deal with this situation just as we would if it came up in a satsang in person. This is at least, my point of view. Jai Maa! Surya Mahamuni Das <mahamuni (AT) cox (DOT) net> wrote: I think diversity is best. People should react how they like. It would be no different in a live satsang. If someone like Tom would say the things he is saying, he would get similiar types of responses. They would be mixed and varying points of view as posted here in our forum. But I think the majority message is absolutely clear. Jai Maa! Surya PS I would like to forward your whole letter as well as my response to the group. I wanted to ask your permission first out of courtesy. You can post it instead if you like. I think it would be of relevant benefit. - "amarnath" "Mahamuni Das" Friday, August 11, 2006 2:57 PM Re: Reply to Balaji / tom's real concern Namaste Surya, Just wanted to let you know that some time ago I emailed Dayamritaji basically to ask his advice whether I should post on Ammachi Free Speech my feelings that Tom was deluded in thinking he was spiritually advanced because of some kundalini experiences; I also mentioned his condescending remarks to others and swamis in general; I did not mention specifically Tom's remarks about Dayamritaji. Dayamritaji's first answer was that I can do as I please on Free Speech since he didn't know anything about this forum. But, I was not happy with that; wanted his advice; so my next email I asked what about our Ammachi which supposedly Amma said is a Satsang group? Tom is also posting derogatory remarks about others here. Then his reply was: If Tom is deluded, best to keep QUIET and other members will see that; also he said he would tell Amma since I asked him to do so. That's one of the reasons, I'm doing my best to keep low key on this and it does seem true that Tom's delusion is becoming more visible to others. So, my feelings now are mixed; I can see some benefit of having some challenging posts here; and over the course of time am learning not to react so quickly, etc; on the other hand, there are so many other approaches that members have expressed; perhaps the thing is that all of these approaches are fine; perhaps the acceptance of the diversity is what is important; not one way for all of us. I do favor Balaji bringing this up to Amma, not to get rid of Tom, but I feel Amma is the only one who knows what is going on and can help him most and guide us; perhaps Amma is already doing that? I appreciate your posts. Thanks for taking the time, etc. Oh, I already mentioned to Tom that he should communicate directly with D, but?
