Guest guest
just a friendly word of warning, the offered "salary" of $20/hr is at the low end of a living wage here to live relatively comfortably you need to make at $50,000/yr, and even this in any major centre such as Toronto or Vancouver will not be enough to get you into the real estate market - for this you are looking at least $120K/yr, with some money saved up besides factor in visa/travel costs etc, i am not sure you would be ahead of the game i only mention this because sometimes people come to Canada with big expectations in truth, you may be better off living a good life in India, in familiar surroundings with family and friends, unless a truly generous offer worthy of your training and experience come along but, for those willing to risk it, you might be able to generate some other opportunities along the way best... todd [Moderator adds: Indian Vaidyas will appreciate your inputs] > Posted by: "vaijulad" vaijnath.lad vaijulad > > Thu Aug 17, 2006 12:56 am (PST) > > Hellow friends I just seen one job offer for ayurvedic practioners for > canada, if anyone interested please visit following link > http://corp.naukri.com/mynaukri/mn_newminnernew.php? > filename=020806000020&othersrcpjobs=quickbar_page&othersrcp=&id=&searc > h > loc=mynaukri&sortsource=relevance&phrase=herbs&type=all&exp=
Guest guest
I emphatically agree with Todd - $20 ph in Oz would be very low to survive on - for example I pay my gardener $35 ph - and then petrol alone is set to rise to $2 per LITRE before the end of the year - to live well in one's own land with family and friends around is infinitely preferable to being overseas alone and poor - possibly especially in a different coloured culture, unless super professional (with approved qualitifcations - and then often with the requirement to prove it and retake exams ) - other cultures tend to get the lower type of jobs unless highly talented Best, Jane __________ just a friendly word of warning, the offered "salary" of $20/hr is at the low end of a living wage here........... Guest guest
and on reflection I think it may have been Sri Swami Yogananda who commented that those who live overseas shorten their lives - or was this just in reference to the saints - not sure - Best Jane ________________________ to live well in one's own land with family and friends around is infinitely preferable to being overseas alone and poor.......
