Guest guest
Sat Nam! There are many kriyas to overcome fear and panic. Just stretching the side body, bending from side to side to open the spaces between the ribs, releases anxiety. Kundalini Triangle works on the adrenals and the nervous system to build nerve strength and aid nerve repair. The miracle breath releases fear and panic. Breath suspension following the exhale quickly releases fear. You may feel almost a sense of panic when you begin this practice, be gentle with yourself and don't push! Soon you will notice less and less fear and panic in yourself. Vata's are more prone to these emotions especially when out of balance. Do you know your Ayurvedic Constitution? Do you have the book Meditation As Medicine by Dr. D? There are several short movements to heal the 2nd Chakra. Blessings, GuruRavi ______________________ Check out AOL.com today. Guest guest
Dear Prasana: You did great! You don't have to submit yourself to violence! And yes doing Kundalini Yoga has made you more aware, more sensitive to what is life enhancing and what is painful. How to cope? There will always be violence around us. When people are violent it is because they seek something beautiful like love and serenity but they don't know how to access it so they are willing to fight for it. If you focus on what they are really trying to get to and you can feel it, then you can feel compassion for their struggle and hold the space in you for them to feel the love, the serenity, whatever it is they think they don't have. To be able to do that, practice seeing it in yourself when you find yourself agitated, angry, fearful, etc You can also use a mantra or some breathing technique to feel connected again with your higher presence. For instance Guru Dev Singh (master of Sat Nam Rasayan) told us that if you feel anger you can chant: Adais tisay adais (3x) Aad aneel anad anaahat (3x) Jug jug eko vais (3x) It is part of the Jap Ji prayer and means that you align yourself with the will of God. My experience with it, is that it does not remove anger, but it gives me a moment to distance myself from it so I am not consumed by it. I have been experiencing fears for quite some time now and i have found a few things that are helpful. The excercise for paranoi helps to release this fear. You sit on heels or easy pose, extend arms out to the sides of your body, point your thumbs up to the ceiling and maintain a tight grip of your fingers on the pads of your thumbs. Begin rotating them down and back and then up and back for up to 6-7 min. Also doing the kriya to balance and recharge the nervous and immune systems helps to balance out your energy, as well as the meditations for addictions. These are the tools i most often apply. I saw a message posted to you that said to do sat kriya followed by kirtan so you can strengthen and balance your energy, ihave done this for two days now and i now am remarkbly stable and calm, i recommend you use these two tools to build a stong foundation, and keep up!
