Guest guest
I had not done this meditation before--I am sort of new to "serious" kundalini meditation practice, although not to the yoga postures. It was really lovely, and intense. I was glad to learn that it was okay to stretch one's legs throughout! :-) People traded off leading the chant--what really got me was the person who led the last half hour of chants. Her name is Gurudass Kaur, and she and her husband, Gurudass Singh, will be leading the kundalini yoga teacher training that I will be taking!! Gurudass K. is a singer--you can see the CDs that she and Gurudass Singh have recorded here: http://www.yogatech.com just search for Gurudass She has a wonderful voice ... and at the end of the chanting, she led us in 11 minutes of "guru guru wahe guru/guru ram das guru" and played her harmonium, and at the end we stopped singing and the harmonium continued softly for awhile. It sounded like the universe was breathing; that is about as good a description as I can come up with. It was overwhelmingly beautiful and I started crying. It was a great experience; I hope everyone's was just as wonderful as mine was. Sat nam, Betsy
